A Century of Mendele

Join us in welcoming a panel of distinguished Yiddish scholars to Emory as we contemplate the legacy of Mendele the Book Peddler and celebrate the career of David G. Roskies, a leading cultural historian of Eastern European Jewry.
This two day symposium will feature a keynote lecture by David Roskies entitled “Yiddish Orality in an Age of Digital Reproduction”. The whole event is free and open to the public.
